COLORO BOND MAX PVA
COLORO BOND MAX PVA
BOND MAX is a poly-vinyl acetate homopolymer (PVA) and is the original type of bonding agent.
BOND MAX is a very versatile additive, capable of bonding cement, bricks, tiles, plaster, ceramics, metal, and fabrics.
BOND MAX can be used neat or diluted depending on application.
BOND MAX is an ideal admixture for cement toppings (levelling floors), internal, thin section artificial tiles, plaster etc.
In these applications a dilution of 1 part BOND MAX to 10 parts water for the gauge water is an ideal concentration.
To demonstrate the versatility of this polymer we have listed some of the common applications and the recommended use rates:
TOPPING CONCRETE FLOORS ( over 5mm thick)
• To a thoroughly clean and dry surface apply a coat of diluted BOND MAX ( diluted 1:4 water) and allow to dry.
• Apply a bonding coat of diluted BOND MAX
( 4: 1 water), progressively as the toppings are being laid and avoid walking on this BOND MAX coating.
• Apply toppings while BOND MAX is still “tacky”. Suggested mix is 2-3 parts clean sand or fine aggregate, 1 part cement (Portland A) gauged with a BOND MAX admixture (BOND MAX 1: water 10).
